Home and feeling good!

Ryan got to come home on Saturday - he is always so happy and wakes up with the chickens demanding to know when they will be taking that needle out! He is amazing - swallows all of his pills and never complains - if it comes in a liquid, well - he isn't so happy about those - but the pills are a piece of cake for him. The nurses are always so good at helping us trying to figure out how to get everything down too. He did very well I think - no throwing up or anything yet again (I am always so thankful and overwhelmed for this answered prayer). His hardest days after this chemo are usually day 4 and 5 - but today he felt great and we are thankful for today! He woke me up saying he was "starving!" - I have not heard him say that since right after his surgery - it was music to my ears. He ate a cinnamon roll, 2 1/2 pieces of bacon, and drank a cup of milk - then later he ate a piece of pizza and two cookies! Woo hoo! That is amazing - I forgot to mention that on Thursday he had gained 1/2 lb of the pound he lost - so that is good news too - keep praying for that appetite to continue to increase and for more weight gain by this Thursday (our next clinic visit). We got to meet sweet Kennedy - this visit - she is precious! I had been told that a little girl with Down Syndrome had been recently diagnosed with leukemia - I was glad to meet her and her mommy even though I am extremely sad for the reason we are meeting. I would love for no other parent to ever hear again that their baby has cancer!! They would appreciate your prayers and your checking in on them when you get a chance : www.caringbridge.org/tn/kennedyjean

Addie is doing well - she had a good time spending the night with Ms. Anderson and then Mrs. Swafford (her principal) took her swimming on Friday - she was in her element and felt like a princess!
