Round 5
Ryan will have his 5th round of chemo this Thursday - he will be admitted for hopefully only two nights if all goes well. The specific prayer requests are (the obvious) - that every cancer cell that may remain will be destroyed - that his hearing will be protected as well as his kidneys. He will have his hearing and kidneys tested tomorrow - please pray that all will continue to be well with these. We have been so blessed thus far he has had no nausea, etc. with the chemo - that is always a prayer concern too. We give Him praise that it has not been an issue so far - our prayers do not go unheard! His appetite has improved some - so please pray that his weight will be back up and that he will continue to eat. He has had pretty good energy the past week - we went to my Mom's for a few days - went to Chattanooga to the aquarium. Addie and Ryan both had a great time and loved the penguins!! I'll post some pics later in the week. After this round - we have 4 left - we will have more behind us than we have ahead of us - getting over the halfway hump. We continue to be amazed and overwhelmed by His mercy - He is so faithful in taking care of our every need. Keep Addie in your prayers too as she just hasn't seemed herself the past few days. She is very excited to be going to spend the night with the fabuous Ms. Anderson (her first grade teacher) this Thursday night - maybe a little break away will perk her up some.
We covet every prayer that you offer up on behalf of our precious boy - we love him more than words can express.
If any of you are following sweet little Ethan - you will want to know that they did receive an incredible miracle yesterday - he will get to move forward for his bone marrow transplant - God listens when His people pray! www.ethanpowell.com
