Word for the week : RESTLESS
Ryan's counts were the lowest they have been so far on Tuesday - his appetite is not good either. Please pray that his bone marrow is making lots and lots of white blood cells and neutrophils and pray for a hungry little boy!! His not eating always causes me so much stress and then I drive him completely nuts trying to make him eat (it's all because I love you so, so much my sweet boy) ...... actually, pray that the simple act of chewing will become easier for him ... that is a great part of the eating issue. He also has a cold ... please pray that it won't turn into anything more - with his counts so low - infection is always a HUGE concern. Ryan also seems to say "what" alot lately after everything I say to him .... could just be we are together so much more now, he is just learning to tune me out (you know you guys do that to us :)), but knowing that a side effect of one of his chemo drugs is hearing loss (actually this is a very common side effect) .... it just makes me perk up and take notice. Pray for protection over those precious little ears of his. I say the word for the week is restless because ... Ryan is tired of not being able to play with his buddies and be out and about. Hopefully counts are rising and this won't last much longer. I always remind myself .... things could be lots and lots worse .... they really could be and I really do mean that. I was so reminded of that just this past week - a precious little 8 y.o. girl died that attends Addie's school this past weekend - it was completely unexpected - she was at school on Friday and by Sunday evening - she had her angel wings and was in the arms of Jesus. Please keep the family, staff and students at Howard Elementary in you prayers .... these are hard, hard days for them. This little girls family is in need of financial assistance -if any of you reading this are interested, you can e-mail privately and I will give you more info. (Since I don't have her families permission to include their names - I am not doing that.) Life can change forever in an instant .......
Ryan will have his MRI this coming Tuesday, May 1st - they will check his counts again as well. We ask that you would agree with us in prayer for a CLEAR MRI and for rising blood counts. Goliath is GONE and he is NEVER coming back!!!!!
We are blessed beyond measure and we continue to see the fruits of your prayers that you continue to cover our family with - we see it everyday and we love you all so much. We praise Him for His faithfulness - He continues to provide for our every need - through each of you that love on us - He is teaching us how to love as He loves us. Many of you have taught us so many ways to reach out to others - we use to see someone with circumstances such as ours and wonder what on earth we could do .... I don't think we'll ever have to wonder that again .... we will know because of how He is loving us through each of you.
And by the way .... you guys are incredible!! Ryan has been absolutely thrilled with his many cards with money ... you really have NO idea what you do for this little guy :) (and his Mommy)! Love you all for doing that .....
"Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever." Revelations 7:12

Mary Lee,
We continue to pray for your family and especially for Ryan. Each night before bed we ask Emily and Mary if there is anything special they would like to pray for...Ryan is always on their list. We will pray specifically tonight for a clear MRI tomorrow.

Ryan,
We are praying that todays MRI is completely clear. We are praying that the test goes quickly and smoothly. We are praying that your counts will be up soon so you can play with your buddies (Josh would love to play with you soon). We are praying for your precious little ears, and for you to appetite, too. We love you and your family very much.
In Him,
