Easter Egg hunt
Ryan's blood counts have been down for the last week or so and he's been stuck inside and couldn't get out and play with friends. Today Ryan's counts are up enough that he could finally get out a little bit. Mary Lee has joined a group of moms that all have children with some type of special need (Downs, MD, autism, etc.) and some of the women in that group organized an Easter Egg hunt today at Moss Wright Park in Goodlettsville for those families. Ryan and Addie got to go and they had a fantastic time. One of Ryan's little buddies named Tyler was there with his family and they had a ball chasing each other around and goofing off. Addie took her baby doll "Elizabeth" all decked out for Easter and showed her off to everyone. Both of the kids had a great day and it was just a sweet afternoon for the family. Addie and I went to Baptist Hospital later to see my mom who's there recovering from back surgery. Addie is a Candystriper at heart and loves nothing better than going to visit the hospital or nursing homes. We saw my mom, Jackie Carrigan (keep her in your prayers-recovery from major back surgery), then we went to the baby nursery and Addie was able to check out all of the brand new little babies in the window. Overall the day was a really good one and a nice kickoff for Easter Week. Addie and Ryan both can tell you all about Palm Sunday and what it means.
