Ugh!!
(I was supposed to post these last time - Ryan wanted everyone to see how great he is at swallowing his "horse" pills - he really does so well with it - this is one of his chemo drugs - he has 3 of them and they are pretty big even though you can't see it very well)
We went to clinic yesterday and Ryan's blood counts are already down (this is earlier than he normally drops) .... he was supposed to have his Make-A-Wish party last night at Chuck E. Cheese - we had to cancel. The good thing was that he never new about it as it was a surprise - they were going to announce to him what his wish would be. I hated we had to cancel the party, but I was more freaked out that I had sent him to school with very few white blood cells to fight any germs. Please pray that he stays healthy and well!! I felt so bad, even though there is really no way to know this stuff until you do the blood work. Some great news is that he had gained some weight!! That is always music to my ears :). We had a fun w/end planned knowing it would be his last for a while .... so we're a bit bummed about that. I'm trying to be optimistic and pray that his counts are just dropping early so that they will be up really good by the time we go on our wish trip! That sounds good, doesn't it? He still seems to feel pretty good - a little more tired than usual, but he was up and ready to play as soon as Addie was off to school - he loves to play Spiderman Yahtzee - we play many times a day .... this morning he wanted his monkey (stuffed animal) to play - so he got to roll for himself and then for monkey .... it was pretty interesting as he would hold conversations with the monkey as to which superhero the monkey wanted to try for ..... it was a looooong game :), but cute. He told me he thought his counts were down because he was really tired and that it was good he didn't have to go to school because of all the hard work - ha! I give him until about Tuesday or Wednesday of next week before I start hearing about how it's not fair that he has to stay home and can't go to school. He is loving school ...... we are so blessed! Hope you all have a great weekend!!
