All Clear .......

Ryan's MRI was clear - we are so very thankful. I think this was the very best Ryan has ever done with the MRI - he didn't wake up crying that morning and begging us not to make him go, he did great with the IV and they were able to get on the first try! Crazy mommy had forgotten to apply the EMLA cream (numbing cream) and he only fussed at me a little when he realized what I had done - I was so, so proud of him. He did ask why they couldn't load up the MRI machine on a big truck and just park it in our front yard so he could just jump outside and do it, then go back in and eat his breakfast - made me laugh! Please forgive me for taking so long to get this good news out - you all are so faithful to cover us in prayer and I am sorry to make you wait. I just can't quite get it together it seems and the computer is the last on the list - our dishwasher leaked, ruining our kitchen floor so for 3 weeks we were without a kitchen floor and dishwasher. I am just now getting things back in their place ......... it was not a fun time with school starting back at the same time.

Ryan will have his hearing test next Thursday - please pray that this goes well and that his hearing is good. I don't think I shared that at his last hearing test they suggested hearing aides - honestly, I just wasn't up for dealing with that and it just didn't feel "right" in our spirits to move forward with that. Obviously if things continue to get worse - we will make sure he has everything he needs, but it makes me incredibly sad to see him have to deal with one more thing that makes him different. We are praying for improvement in his hearing this time around. He certainly seems to hear everything and anything that we don't want him to hear!! It is also time for his pshyc evals - this is where they follow him and see how the radiation that he had is effecting him cognitively. Please pray for good results on this as well.

Ryan and Addie are both adjusting to the new school year - neither like to get up in the morning and the first thing Addie asks me when she gets in the car in the afternoon is "I go school tomorrow?" - Yes Addie - "ohhhh - I already did it!" She is a funny girl. They both have wonderful teachers and I think it will be a great year for both of them. Rob and Ryan enjoyed the Alabama game tonight - they were all set with their football shaped Dr. Peppers - Ryan convinced me that they needed those to watch the football game - it was fun to watch them having such a good time. Andrew had to be right in the middle of it all - it is so hard to believe he will be ONE next month - where did this year go!?! We are beyond thankful that God has blessed us in so many ways - we are thankful for another Fall and we are Hopeful for some good days ahead.

Thanks for remaining so faithful to our family!

We are so glad to hear the good news! Carter kept asking me to "check Ryan's blog" and see what the results were. You are always in our prayers and we continue to pray for full restoration of Ryan's body.
Love you all!
