Chemo postponed ......
We finally got a room around 5:3o tonight. Ryan was very patient waiting all day in the clinic - he received fluids during that time. When they checked his vital signs he had a temp. 100.5, it was 97.9 in the clinic this morning - so the plan has changed. All of his blood counts are good so tonight he will receive fluids and they will monitor his temp., they also drew blood for cultures and did an RSV swab. If he does okay tonight and his temp. goes down, we will begin chemo in the morning. If not, then I am really not sure what the plan will be. I think we will be here for a few days no matter what - either receiving chemo, or to determine what is causing the fever. We are confident that God is in control and knows the right timing for all to take place. I just hate for Ryan to be "hooked up" - he hates it and only moves his left arm if he has to. Not good since he is a leftie. We will keep you posted as to what happens tomorrow.
