Much Better Day!!!
Friday was much better!! Thank you for your prayers!! Praise Him!! Ryan was only sedated for about 30 minutes. They were able to do a nasal airway and it seemed to work really well for him. Please continue to pray that the tonsils will not continue to be an issue for Ryan. Ryan continues to feel well .... seems to hit a period that he is really tired, but he refuses to give in to it ... not sure what to do as far as that because I am sure he could use extra sleep right now. That has been his nature since the day he was born ... just never needed much sleep. Wish I could say the same :). He did receive his Vincristine on Thursday and that all went well too. He is very happy to be free of the needle and is so excited to have two days off.
Rob and I were able to go out to dinner and see a movie (thanks Mom and Dad!). We saw One Night with the King .... excellent movie! I kept thinking throughout the movie that the same God of Esther is my God too ..... the God of Shradrach, Meshach and Abednego, the God of David ... He is our God!! He is Mighty!
Thank you all for the wonderful meals that continue to be delivered. A special thanks to Ann Kimmel that is organizing all of that for us ... what a blessing! The gift cards, gas cards, and money continue to bless us and provide a nice break for us to get to enjoy going out ... Ryan has not usually been one to really like to go out to eat, etc. But I think since he is going to the dr.'s so much, he really enjoys a nice break out of the house that doesn't involve a doctor. We always tell him thanks for dinner since someone very special sent him a gift card .....
.... he just looks at us like we are crazy! We thank God everyday for each of you .... we could never walk this road alone. We are learning so much through all of this and we promise to pay it forward!! I would have never have thought of some the sweet things that each of you all have thought of .... and some of you don't even know us. It is truly amazing.
I also need to ask forgiveness to those of you who are on the Grammar Patrol ( like my husband). Please look over my typos, misspelled words, etc. I think some of my former teachers are keeping up with this site .... I promise I did learn so much from you ... it is not your fault :).
Please keep my Mom in your prayers as she is having some high blood pressure ... can't imagine what might be causing that!! Rob and I are so blessed to have our parents and they help us in so many ways ... we couldn't do it without them, so please pray for good health for them!
Hope each of you have a blessed weekend and enjoy your families.
"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
Psalm 61:5 & 6

Although I do not know your family personally, my son Carter is in Treasure Creek with Ryan and also Sunday morning classes. Our family is in a constant state of prayer for all of you and Carter says the sweetest prayers for Ryan and his healing. He was so excited to see Ryan at church last Sunday - although I have to say, I thought he was mistaken but I was glad to learn that he wasn't. We pray for strength from the Lord like you have never experienced before and for the total healing of Ryan's body. Thanks for setting up this site so that we can keep track of Ryan's progress and pray for your needs accordingly.
We were glad to hear that Ryan had a better treatment on Friday. We pray for you guys often. Eric prays for Ryan every night (which I agree with Carter's Mom ~ the sweetest prayers). Let us know if we can do anything to help.
