Can't wait for Thanksgiving

Whoever was praying for us today must have been on the money. We had expected the day to be a very long one but the appointments for radiation, oncology, and neurosurgeon's 6 week check up all went smoothly and we were out and done with all of them by 1:oopm. The neurosurgeon said that Ryan's incision was healing as it should. He said we'd probably be getting a referral to see a neuro-opthalmologist (fancy name for an eye doctor) to check on Ryan's eyes since his right one is still turned inward and he still has trouble moving them from side to side. As far as the facial palsy that Ryan has, the surgeon still had no guess as to what is causing it and therefore can't give us a good idea when it will clear up. He said it may take several months before we see improvement but he really doesn't know. That part is the most disheartening of the entire process. Not only does Ryan have have radiation and chemotherapy but even in the times when he is not at a doctor's appointment he still has to struggle with things as simple as turning his eyes and smiling. Keep up your prayers.
On a great note though....NO RADIATION ON THANKSGIVING!!! He gets that entire day free and then starts back on Friday. We're going to my parents' house in Hendersonville and Mary Lee's parents are coming there as well so the kids will have both sets of grandparents at their beckon call all day (neither Mary Lee nor I have any brothers or sisters, so our kids are the only grandkids on either side). Everyone have a great holiday.

Oh, sweet Carrigan family...you are all so dear to my heart and I pray for you and sweet little Ryan every day!

I'm so thankful that Addie and Ryan have such Godly parents to help guide them through such a difficult time! Jewels in your crowns...

Know that you guys are loved and thought of daily...and we are all praying for God's loving arms to be wrapped around each of you...and specifically for His healing hands to be around Ryan.

Love you guys - and thanks for the updates on the site!

In Him,
Jeni Waldrop

Mary Lee,
I have placed your family on our prayer list. I spoke with Crystal Nash whom we graduated with and she is placing you all on her church's prayer list also. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anythinging I can do for you,let me know. Don't worry about the typo's. I can't sell either.
