Snow, Valentine's, Anniversary, MRI's, ..... and a quick Make-A-Wish recap
Okay ..... so I'm just a little bit behind :) - quite honestly, I've been in a funk .... but as my friend Janna says - "springtime is coming" - I like her thoughts of it always being Springtime in the Kingdom. Anyways, with Ryan's MRI coming up - we just get a little anxious and stressed out around here - his MRI is this coming Tuesday 2/19 at 5:00PM - please pray in agreement with us for a clear scan for our sweet boy - pray that he does okay with not eating and drinking all day and that he does okay with the sedation part. I was doing laundry last night and this song popped in my head that I used to sing when I was little - "I've got the love of Jesus, love of Jesus down in my heart! Where? - Down in my heart! ......." and so on - then we would sing "and if the devil doesn't like he can sit on a tack .... sit on a tack and stay!" - ha! It just made me laugh for this to just pop into my head, but I had to stop and I must say that it immediately reminded me of where Satan is in all of this - he's under HIS feet! So - Satan - you just go ahead and sit on a tack ...... we've got the love of Jesus and He's not going anywhere!! It just shows me God's sense of humor as well - how He pursues us in the strangest of ways, yet it worked - I can see that Springtime is coming ......... the cloud that had settled in these past few weeks is lifting - thank you Jesus.Rob and I will be leaving in a couple of hours to get away for three nights (count them --- 1, 2, 3 :)) - we will be staying at the Opryland Hotel - thanks to Uncle Keith and his good friend Chris - WOW!! You all are awesome!! Grandparents will be holding the fort down. We have been married 12 years ....... 12 wonderful years of pure bliss for Rob being married to me - tee hee!! Seriously, these have been such good years and they have flown by ...... I know many probably look at us and think we have been called to such a hard life, but we truly don't feel that way - of course, we have our moments (err - umm sometimes weeks :)) of wondering what in the world God is up to - BUT, for the most part we feel incredibly blessed ..... we really do. Rob and I just had this discussion the other day ...... God is soooo good. I am so blessed to have Rob to ride this crazy roller coaster ride with.
So, obviously I haven't learned to do a slideshow yet - Renee I can hear you laughing!! Anyway - I went ahead and posted several pictures - so just keep scrolling down. Our Make-A-Wish trip was so much fun ..... I can't believe it's been a month since we were there! Make-A-Wish does an incredible job and we were treated like royalty ...... Ryan and Addie will think they've had the red carpet yanked out from under them when go back with having to wait in lines, etc. They truly take care of you - never make you wait in a line and just make you feel like a VIP. Ryan had so much fun that on the morning we were scheduled to leave he woke up around 5:30AM crying ....... I went to him to see what was wrong and he said, "I don't want to leave, I hope I get another brain tumor so I can come back!" - geesh, I'm glad he had fun, but that is sooo not necessary - we will be glad to figure out how to get you back here with our own money!! I about passed out .......
Well - hope you all have a wonderful w/end - please pray Rob and I can relax and rest some and just enjoy being together and not focusing on the MRI - that's a hard one. We have several of our friends who have scans this week as well - please keep Matthew and Kennedy in your prayers as well.
Also - I realized I never shared the great news about our friends - Jackson's MRI - ALL CLEAR!
and John Marlin's biopsy of his leg was just fine - we praise Him for these good reports!!!
Addie and Ryan making snow angels on the trampoline after our "blizzard" - ha!
Happy Valentines's - my two favorite Valentine's in the whole wide world! (Check out Ryan's hair - he has eyebrows and eyelashes again :))
(I have this set so it only shows three posts at a time - there are several posts for our trip so you will have to click on the other posts individually - sorry I am tech"no" :0)
